My 4 tortoises. I had the older pair of tortoise since October 2004, and the younger pair since April 2005 ( can't really remember the exact date). No names given though. 2 are males and 2 are females.

2 months ago, they got their new 2 x 4 ft home, courtesy of BKoon. As they grow stronger and healthy, I feel happy.

As time goes by, like any other animals I think tortoises can recognize the 'master'. They will come to me when I walk near to the tank. They will keep flipping around the water and making noises every morning and evening when I am about to go to work and back from work, maybe this is their way of informing me that meal is just around the corner.

New Task (03 July 2006)

Hmmm, starting 03 July 2006...here is my new task...3G.

It is a brand new exposure for myself but I'll have to restart my engine and learn from 'zero'.

And of course, I will be busy for the first few months :p

I'm so excited and happy welcoming myself for this new task.

Around 20 of us gathered at Sunway office. We departed at 9 ++ am to Sri Petaling for breakfast. I ordered a pot of porridge to be shared with another 2 colleagues. It cost us RM 26 for the pot of porridge (expensive :p) but it is well worth it.

Delicious.....

Around 11++ am, we started our journey. We took the Middle Ring Road towards Gombak> Karak Highway> Destination @ km 804- Selesa HillHomes and Golf Resort.

It was lunch time. The lunch served was ala Melayu. Hmmm, a little bit like the UTM DSG food. Lucikly I was still half full, so I only took a small portion, but started wondering that I am going to have this type of cooking for the next 2 meals !!

After meal, the accomodation was sorted out. It is a chalet - 2B 2R, good good, I am not alone, hehehe...

We were divided into 6 groups for the games and telematch sessions. It was tough for myself, with all together 7 games. But I like the river crossing game- swimming.

Conclusion: I am not really fit for outdoor activities.

After all the 7 activities ended, it was already 7.30 pm. We walked back to the chalet and took dinner at 8++ pm. Still the food is DSG style...but as I was hungry as a wolf, there were no complaints. At 9.30pm, we gathered at a hall, a presentation titled " Memory Peg" was given, kinda tired and did not really concentrate. Finally it ended at 10.30 pm and we were told to start the second day at 8.30 am after breakfast.

The whole gang decided to go to Genting, the city of entertainment since it was only 45 minutes ride from the resort. Me and a few colleagues went to the Monte Carlo casino. I lost RM 50. We came back to the resort to zzzZZzzz at around 2 am.

I set my alarm at 7.20 am and woke up on time. Feel so pain on the muscle, but fresh. Maybe I had taken a good sleep yesterday night. :p

We took our breakfast and again, had to play the telematch game. I walked around and skipped some of it. The sun was real hot that day.

Until 12 pm, everything had come to an end. We decided to have our lunch at the Chinese restaurant at Bukit Tinggi. 4 dishes ordered- 'tong fan', 'yi min', 'wat dan hor' and 'char hor fan'. All were delicious.

Finished our lunch at 2++pm, the next destination was to Serendah. One of our collegue has just been upgraded to be a father. We were going to visit the baby boy. Hmmm, they took the trunk road, from Awana Genting to Ulu Yam. But since all of us were not familiar with the road, we had made a wrong turn and headed towards Batu Caves. Opppss, it was towards KL already. We stopped by and asked the kopitiam 'makcik' for directions. Finally we reached his house at 4++ pm. 2 hours ride. Maybe we had wasted an hour after the wrong turning.

He waited for us at his house. His baby boy is cute and congratulations to him! We did some chit chat at his place for an hour and left around 5++ pm to avoid the traffic jam.

Reached Sunway office at 6 pm and waited for BY to fetch me. What a trip !!!

So happy on Sunday night! Finally, I struck RM 60 in a Magnum 4D Consolation Prize for the first time after so many years trying. I was buying some herbs at the Chinese Medical Hall and Magnum was just a few doors away . Proceeded to the shop and 'invested' a few ringgit.

7276- it is the receipt number for my watch that was sent for repair. Ironically, the actual number on the receipt is 7672 , not 7276 when I looked at the receipt again. I must have remembered the number wrongly.

A blessing in disguise, I shall put it this way....

Finally I've decided to send my wristwatch for repair. The warranty has already lapsed. I bought the watch on 07/09/03. Hmmm... 2 years and 9 months. It is not supposed to stop functioning so fast.
What a DISAPPOINTMENT !

Walked into the shop and told the shop assistant that my watch has stopped moving. At the same time, I showed her the warranty card (luckily the purchase date wasn't stamped on it :p) and told her the exact date of purchase. To my surprise, she told me the date on the warranty card can be manipulated. It was decided to write the purchase date on the card as 12/12/04. Hopefully nobody finds out.
Yeah..still under warranty...:) but it may take 1 to 2 months before getting it back.

Hopefully it will be back in a tip-top working condition and FOC! Luckily I can wait...hehehe...
